Mehola dance center was established at 1988 in Jerusalem under the Aegis of the Jerusalem municipality and leading dance groups in Israel.

Mehola is a private institute and is the biggest dance center in Israel for Folk dance, Ethnic dance, Modern dance and Jazz dance, with branches in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv.

Mehola has 3 professional folk dance groups: "The Bogeret"- adults (18-28), "Neurim"- teenagers (15-18), and "Nitsanim"- children (12-15).
Each group has special repertoires, costumes and music.

The members of our 3 Israeli Folk Dance groups are the best professional performers of Israeli Folklore dances.

Mehola Dance companies represent the unique characteristics of the Israeli Folklore with beautiful authentic costumes and a superior performing art quality in their "Spirit of Jerusalem show" - Dances with special choreography of ten different tableaux styles of the Israeli Folklore – from the Israeli "Hora" to a Jewish Hasidic dance, from oriental and Arabicdances to modern Israeli dances.
The most recently is an east European dance, the latest influence that came after the waves of immigrants from Russia.

Mehola Represents the state of Israel and the ministry of tourism in Special International Occasions; "Mehola" represented Israel in the Expo exhibition in Spain, in the Millennium Celebrations in "EPCOT Center" Orlando USA. At the last five years, the three Israeli folk dance groups of Mehola ("Nitsanim", "Neurim", "The Bogeret") have preformed all over the world: Canada, Holland, Sweden, Italy,united kingdom, Denmark, France,Germany, and Switzerland.

Mehola Dance Company has a long reputation in winning prizes in the biggest Israeli "Carmiel Festival" and so in International festivals such as "Dijon Folk Festival" in France. Recently, Mehola represented Israel in the "Mondial Festival" in Drummondvile - Canada, Meetingthe world's highest performing standards.
